Caution on rail line - but trains still running

We understand there is a caution on the nearby rail line, but that services are still running.

It’s very difficult to see through the trees to see what’s going on - but we can see fire crews working, and trains passing beyond. We understand Network Rail have been informed and there is a caution on the line as the fire was “very close” to the boundary fence. @MENnewsdesk pic.twitter.com/qZLjl6oz8V

Fire involved 'built-up waste'

Our reporter on the scene understands the fire involved waste that had been allowed to build up in the woodland by the road.

We understand the fire related to an accumulation of waste built up over time. Fire crews have had to dig down into the ground and douse it with water in attempts to stop it burning @MENnewsdesk pic.twitter.com/rzSRDtMnip
